Phoenix Furniture Direct, owned by Don Jared and his wife Laura, started as a Power Marketing Direct licensee in January 2008 and became a PMD Furniture Direct franchisee in December 2009.  It proudly serves the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area and is located in the West Valley of Phoenix near Luke Air Force Base.

Don attended the Oregon Institute of Technology and received a degree in Accounting Technology.  There, he met Laura and they have been married for 31 years thereafter.  Together, they have two children Kiel and Kellen.  Don and Laura are proud to recently become grandparents after Kiel and his wife, Amanda, gave birth to Zealand Mayes Jared.  Laura, who works as an orthodontic technician, runs a small jewelry business and helps decorate customer homes.  However, she says her favorite job is being an awesome grandmother for Zealand.  In Don’s free time, he admits he loves to golf and enjoys attending and watching all major sporting events.

Before Don joined PMD, Don worked in retail management for more than 30 years.  His previous job functions include corporate payroll administrator and general manager at Montgomery Ward, regional operations manager and sales director at CompUSA, and also general manager at Best Buy Inc.  Don and his wife believe these previous jobs have allowed the family to live in beautiful locations such as Oregon, Nevada, California and Illinois.  Currently the Jareds have resided in Phoenix, Arizona for the past 16 years.

As a small business owner, Don finds PMD rewarding because of his personal success and because he has total control over his business.  “We have made friends with many customers and love the lifestyle this business has afforded us,” Don said.

Don’s goal is to provide an outstanding experience for customers including great pricing and top-notch service after the sale.
