A PMD Furniture Direct franchisee since October 2009, Rick Combs is in the serving people business with an emphasis on providing a “personal touch” experience for each and every customer.

Rick spent over 35 years in the RV Industry the with 24 years as a manager for one of the RV Industries largest Manufactures. He held positions as both sales and dealer development management during his RV career. He is a father that managed little league, coached soccer and basketball for his three sons as they grew to adulthood. Son Bobby graduated from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA where he played golf on scholarship and is a father of 3 sons, son Kevin graduated from Easter Oregon University in La Grande OR and has a daughter and son, Tyler Combs is single and will play a major roll in the business. Tyler will be in charge of the advertising and keeping the costs down so that we can insure the customers great value in return for their dollars.

Jane has balanced her career between a (mom and wife) and first in the RV industry and most recently a member of the High Dollar review committee for one of the largest health insurance providers in the country. She is a northwest native born and raised in Condon, OR and received her AA degree from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton OR. Her ability to manage many task at once such as planning, scheduling, prioritizing and guiding have been the main reason that Tri City Furniture Direct has got off to such a great start and has been so well received so soon.

Jane is the second youngest and only girl in a family of 4 children. Rick is the oldest in a family with four boys. They have three boys and 5 grand children and their youngest son Tyler is an intrigue part in the business. Jane and Rick enjoy riding their Harley’s and playing golf in their off time. Jane is a former womens club champion at Pendleton Country Club and loves beating Rick.

Currently the business is serving customers in the Tri City area of Washington (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland) as well as customers in Eastern Oregon. They have had customers from as far away as Baker City, John Day OR, Moses Lake, Ellensburg and Pullman WA. While the bulk of the customers are from the Columbia Basin it seems that one of the company’s goals is already being met in that happy customers spreading the word is the best sort of advertising there is. Jane says “that if we give great service, and charge a fair price for a quality product the customers will come” and they have. The best form of advertising is HAPPY CUSTOMERS. She also says that by “providing the opportunity for our customers to be able to afford a higher quality product than that they could afford elsewhere, by keeping our overall cost down, spending less on advertising and by doing the work ourselves we will be successful and the customers will keep returning and sending their friends”.
